NEW YORK, NOVEMBER 25, 2019 — Today, Lexi Walker releases her new original single, “Blind Boy.” This is Walker’s first release of an original song since her 2017 full-length album, INSPIRE, with SONY Records. Known as a young powerhouse singing classic covers, Lexi enters into a new chapter of her career, revealing her artistry as a singer-songwriter.
Lexi delivers “Blind Boy” in the vein of Grammy-nominated Maggie Rogers and Norway’s Sigrid: a fusion of indie pop, art pop, and synth-pop. Lexi’s warm vocal tone over a Yamaha C3 NEO piano, rich thumb bass, and subtle ambient synths reveal Walker’s coming of age, a seventeen-year-old responding to her own life experiences and relationships. “I have so many stories to tell…about growing up and what it means to live in today’s climate. I hope that it connects with my loyal fans and creates meaning for new friends,” says Walker.
